Dene Summerhouse

Tucked into a hilltop grove on the east side of the park, near 67th Street, the Dene Summerhouse — nicknamed the "Treehouse for Dreaming" — is a rustic wooden gazebo wrapped in ivy, and in summer, trumpet vines with orange blossoms. Think of it as a smaller, more secret Cop Cot: bench seating for your guests, dappled light through the leaves, and hardly another soul around. Made for elopements and micro-weddings of up to 20 guests. One honest planning note: the Parks permit is issued for the Dene Lawn beside the gazebo rather than the structure itself — the summerhouse can't be reserved, but on a typical day it's quiet. From here it's about a ten-minute stroll to Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge for the iconic photos.
