Gapstow Bridge & The Pond
One location, two ways to marry: on the stone bridge itself, or on the quiet lawns and
rocks beside The Pond with the bridge as your backdrop. Gapstow Bridge spans the narrow
neck of The Pond at the park's south end, and the whole area works as one ceremony
setting — the lake in the foreground, the Plaza Hotel and the Midtown skyline behind.
At sunset it's spectacular. Up to 20–25 guests.
Fair warning: passersby will stop, watch and applaud your first kiss — most couples say it's the best part. For the most privacy, marry on the lawns just north of the bridge, at the top of The Pond — it's the same view with fewer onlookers, and a weekday morning is quietest. The Dairy and Cop Cot are a short stroll away, so portraits come with easy variety.
